Systemic Team Coaching
How does your team create value together?
A leadership team’s contribution depends on how its members work together and how they respond to the people who rely on them. Systemic team coaching brings both into focus, connecting the team’s internal relationships with its wider responsibilities.
When the team needs to work differently
A team may be taking on a new mandate, integrating new members or working through significant change. Decisions may stall between functions. Individual priorities may compete with collective commitments. Stakeholders may be asking for something the team has not yet learned to provide together.
These situations become the material for the work. We examine how the team understands its purpose, makes decisions and follows through, including patterns that may be difficult to see from within.
The wider system
Who depends on the team’s work? What do they need from it, now and in the future? Perspectives from customers, colleagues, partners and other relevant stakeholders can reveal expectations that are absent from the team’s own conversations.
We agree which voices need to be heard and how to bring them into the process.
A process shaped around the team
Agree the engagement. Clarify the purpose, sponsorship, participation and confidentiality arrangements, including what meaningful progress would look like.
Understand the context. Use conversations, relevant feedback and observation where appropriate to build a shared understanding of the work ahead.
Work with the team. Coach through real priorities and decisions. Notice recurring patterns, experiment with different ways of working and review their effects between sessions.
Review the contribution. Revisit the agreed aims and stakeholder expectations. Identify what the team can sustain independently and what still needs attention.
What progress might look like
Depending on the starting point, progress may include clearer collective priorities, more productive disagreement or more reliable follow-through. The team and sponsor agree useful indicators and review them during the engagement.
